Abstract The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the relative performance of the selected joint sealant materials. Other objectives were to determine the effect of selected sealant configurations and installation methods, and to identify sealant material properties and tests that correlate well with field performance. This technical summary briefly summarizes the key benefits of this research, the research approach, the key findings, and the recommendations from this research. In addition to the evaluation of overall seal performance, a service-life comparison was performed. A table showing the projected service life in months for tested joint sealants is provided in this TechBrief. This TechBrief is based on the report "LTPP Pavement Maintenance Materials: SHRP Joint Reseal Experiment, Final Report" (FHWA-RD-99-142; TRIS 00778829). 4 p.
