| Abstract | The purpose of this document is to explain the need for and elements of a Federal program addressing the archiving and multi-agency use of data generated from Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications. The development of this program builds from previous work done under the U.S. DOT ITS program, such as the development of a user service to support this concept (the Archived Data User Service or ADUS) and the addition of that service to the National ITS Architecture, and represents the next phase in fostering its deployment. This document describes the development of the Federal ADUS Five-Year Program (2000-2004) to support the implementation of ADUS. |
