| Abstract | The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has had a program called Process Review and Product Evaluation (PR/PE) for many years. As the role of the agency changed over the years, it sought ways to make PR/PE more relevant to daily operations. Recently, it embarked on a "Quality Journey" using Process Management criteria. Process management examines, among other things, how key processes are improved to obtain better performance. It was noticed that practitioners need a way to achieve continuous process improvement. This handbook has 15 chapters describing a variety of tools and techniques that practitioners of continuous process improvement may find useful. |
