Abstract The objective of this study was to determine the crashworthiness and aggressivity of passenger cars, light trucks and vans (LTVs) in traffic collisions. The data for the analysis was taken from the NHTSA Fatal Analysis Reporting System (FARS) and the General Estimates System (GES) for 1991 to 1994 were used for fatalities, and for crash involvements, respectively.
