Abstract The second Special Accident Study Teams / ASAP Coordination Conference was held in Washington, D.C. on June 12-13, 1974 to continue coordination of activities and to report recent findings. The objectives of the conference were: (1) To report on progress made in Study Team/ASAP coordination procedures subsequent to the first conference, on any problems encountered by the Teams in the agreed upon minimal set of human factors data collected in all four studies, and on any changes in methodologies, needs, or experimental design. (2) To present up-to-date findings in the study areas including alcohol-involved driver psychosocial profiles, proportion of alcohol-involved and problem drinkers in samples studied, accident-involved drivers exposure to ASAP countermeasures, typical errors alcohol-involved drivers are making, etc. (3) To discuss the future of the four ASAPs and the Special Accident Studies including continuations, modifications, changes in needs, changes in emphasis, etc. /Abstract from report summary page/
