| Abstract | This report describes the evaluation of a sampling of over- and undercrossing structures to identify major and minor access barriers for the physically handicapped. From this evaluation, it was determined that it is feasible to accommodate the physically handicapped on crossing structures. However further research on specific design problems (ramp gradients, lengths, etc.) is needed before recommendations for the design or retrofitting of over- and undercrossing structures can be developed. |
