| Abstract | One of several possible candidate configurations for the Discrete Address System is described. The configuration presented is compatible with the Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System, and it provides for gradual transition from one system to the other. A discussion of the effects of modulation and coding on the performance of the candidate DABS system is presented, and an experimental design is described. Some studies which will be required for detailed design are described. |
