| Abstract | The report consists of three basic sections. Section 2 is a discussion of the communications concepts germane to AEROSAT access control. It defines and reviews the principles of multiplexing, multiple access, demand access, and access control and relates them to the system parameters of AEROSAT. Section 3 is a complete summary of the three AEROSAT access control studies. The evaluation approach taken, the access control techniques considered, and the conclusions reached by each study are summarized. No attempt is made to critique these results or to combine them into a common set of recommendations. Section 4 presents the recommendations for AEROSAT access control techniques, mainly based upon the results of the three studies and the access control techniques defined in appropriate AEROSAT documentation. Also included are recommendations for AEROSAT test and evaluation, as well as future simulation efforts. |
