Abstract Public and private investments catalyzed a striking transformation along Euclid Avenue in Cleveland, generated in part by the construction of a new bus rapid transit (BRT) system known as the HealthLine. Euclid Avenue’s strategic location stretches from Cleveland’s Central Business District (CBD) and continues nine miles past prominent institutions such as Cleveland State University (CSU) and the Cleveland Clinic. The HealthLine is a result of a decades-long commitment by city leaders and residents to re-establish Euclid Avenue’s historic status as a key transportation and economic development corridor for the entire region.
