| Abstract | An analysis is presented for the influence of test drum curvature on stress levels and resulting rolling resistance forces in pneumatic tires. The influence of test method on the measurement of rolling loss is also considered, and expressions are derived allowing rolling resistance measurements made on cylindrical drums to be transformed to flat surface values. Experimental verification is presented for the major conclusions. |
