| Abstract | This report summarizes studies of enroute propfan noise propagation involving noise data obtained by DOT/TSC at ground stations during fly-over tests on October 30-31, 1987. These data have been analyzed by DOT/TSC for comparison with in flight data obtained by NASA. An important question which has been raised in this context concerns the large fluctuations in the measured sound pressure level at the ground station, and this was one of the focal points in the present study. |
