| Abstract | This document presents a set of procedures for developing and implementing safest school route maps. School officials, parents, traffic engineers, police and the children themselves share the responsibility for a safe trip to and from school. The local traffic engineer is usually called upon to develop and maintain safest school route maps, where they are used. Consequently, this guidebook is primarily designed for traffic engineers to use in meeting their responsibility. |
