Abstract The primary objectives of this chapter are to provide information on the current physical and operating characteristics of all border crossings, including approaches and egresses, and to identify problems, both physical and operational, that affect the ability of the existing system to handle trade and traffic flows. This chapter addresses the northeast region of the United States, from and including Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Calais, Maine.
