Abstract The Otis Elevator Company Transportation Technology Division (OTIS-TTD) Downtown People Mover (DPM) Winterization Test Demonstration Final Report covers the 1978-79 and 1979-80 winter periods. Tests were performed at the Otis test track in Denver, Colorado. The two vehicles used during the winter testing program were (1) the Duke University Medical Center vehicle, and (2) a test vehicle with same performance as the Duke vehicle. Both are HOVAIR supported, linear induction motor driven, automated vehicles. This report presents the results, conclusions and recommendations of the winter operation capabilities of the OTIS-TTD HOVAIR vehicle and DPM equipment
