| Abstract | This report presents fuel consumption and other data on comparable diesel and gasoline trucks. The data was compiled from actual, operational records of the Maine Department of Transportation for trucks of about 24,000 pounds gross vehicle weight and 150 to 180 horsepower. Information on the use of other petroleum based products such as engine oil and lubes is also given, together with initial maintenance costs. |
