| Abstract | One of the problmes encountered in designing an aircraft to use a satellite system for communications (and for surveillance and navigation) is that of finding a suitable aircraft antenna. There is, at present, no antenna which will satisfy all requirements. The purpose of this paper is to briefly review the characteristics of some of the L-Band and VHF antennas which have been proposed for an aircraft-satellite link. |
