| Abstract | THE REPORT PRESENTS AN ILLUSTRATION OF THE ACCUMULATIVE PROBABILITY MODEL WHICH IS APPLICABLE TO GROUND TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS WHERE HIGH-SPEED AND CLOSE HEADWAYS ARE A PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT. THE PAPER DESCRIBES THE MODEL, ILLUSTRATES IT WITH A HYPOTHETICAL PROBLEM, AND THEN APPLIES IT TO A NETWORK ROUTE THAT WAS ACTUALLY CONFIGURED IN A DUAL MODE SYSTEM STUDY.
