| Abstract | A phase delay rectifier operating into a passive resistive load was instrumented in the laboratory. Techniques for accurate measurement of power, displacement reactive power, harmonic components, and distortion reactive power are presented. The characteristics of the phase delay rectifier operating with unfiltered and inductively filtered resistive loads are presented using both derivations and measurements. The changes of the phase delay rectifier characteristics with a free wheeling diode in the circuit are also presented. /Author/ |
