Abstract This report presents a study on the development of anti-intrusion systems that will perform the function of preventing a derailed railroad car or an errant highway vehicle or some type of dislodged load from intruding into the operational space of the high-speed line. In addition the situation of a derailing HSGT vehicle being restrained from intruding into the operational space of an adjacent mode or from falling from an elevated guideway or colliding with track side hazards is also addressed.
