| Abstract | The problem of aircraft anti-collision system design and evaluation is discussed in this work. Two evaluation criteria, conflict ratio and probability of missed critical alarm are formulated and are found to be independent of both traffic density and traffic model. These parameters depend only on system alarm thresholds, critical miss distances and depend only on the system alarm thresholds, critical miss distances and relative position prediction uncertainty. This results in a simplemethod for system evaluation and examination of new anti-collision concepts. |
