| Abstract | This report evaluates the effects of four engine lubricants and three differential gear lubricants on the fuel economy of two 1978 automobiles operated at 20F, 70F, and 100F ambient temperatures. The engine lubricants were evaluated using the 1978 Federal Test procedure and steady state tests from a cold start. The gear lubricants were evaluated in steady state operation from a cold start. |
