| Abstract | Gas master meter systems are small intrastate gas distribution systems providing natural gas purchased from local gas utilities (or, rarely, gas transmission systems) to consumers in connection with the rental, leasing, or management of real property. Gas master meter systems, of which there are thousands, operate in almost every state and supply natural gas for heating, cooking, and other uses to tens of thousands of homes and businesses. The systems can be found at a wide variety of locations, including trailer parks, public housing projects, shopping centers, and apartment complexes. |
