The Morgantown PRT system is an automated, two mode (scheduled and demand) transit system. The system consists of a fleet of electrically powered, rubber-tired, passenger-carrying vehicles, operating on a dedicated guidewav network at close headway (vehicle separation.) The system provides a safe, comfortable, low polluting, reliable means of transportation. A high level of availability and reliability is afforded in terms of passenger service. The system features year-round operation, as well as direct origin-to-destination service.
