| Abstract | A project to demonstrate the benefits of fully automated people mover systems in urban downtown areas was announced today by Robert E. Patricelli, Administrator of the Department of Transportation's Urban Mass Transportation Administration (UMTA) . Up to three cities will be chosen by UMTA in the fall of 1976 for the first public operation of Downtown People Mover (DPM) systems. |
