| Abstract | The award winning environmental initiatives of the United States Postal Service make it one of the "greenest" of all federal government agencies. Given the size and scope of its operations, the Postal Service required outside technical support to quickly develop and implement specific programs that would make good business sense. For the past two and one half years, staff members from the Volpe Center have played a key role in the implementation of initiatives of this major government agency, making a significant contribution to the nation's environmental preservation efforts. |
