| Abstract | Specialized transportation systems, designed to meet the diverse needs of the elderly and other groups, are operating in communities throughout the country. Although these systems have proliferated in recent years, no comprehensive study has yet been undertaken to identify and explore the problems being encountered by these systems. In reaction to the need for this type of information, the Institute of Public Administration, in association with Ecosometrics, Incorporated, conducted a study of the problems encountered by transportation providers serving the elderly and their relationships with the funding Area Agencies. |
