Abstract The USDOT Volpe Center conducted a visitor transportation survey at Hanging Lake recreation site in the White River National Forest from July 14 to July 18, 2016. This report outlines the summary of results from that survey effort. Key findings include: 70 percent of visitors surveys had not visited Hanging Lake before; 58 percent of visitors made the decision to visit on the same day or 1 to 7 days prior; 79 percent of visitors would be likely or somewhat likely to take a shuttle to the site.
