| Abstract | On June 22, 2001, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) issued Safety Recommendation P-0 1-2, which recommended that the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (U.S. DOT’S) Research and Special Programs Administration (RSPA) require that excess flow valves (EFVs) be installed in all new or renewed natural gas services that are compatible with readily available EFVS.’ This report examines whether NTSB’s recommended requirement would be cost-beneficial. |
