| Abstract | The intent of the Rural Connected Vehicle Gap Analysis project was to identify any current gaps in the connected vehicle program that may result in a reduced deployment potential in the rural areas of the United States. Through a workshop conducted at the National Rural Intelligent Transportation System annual meeting and interviews with rural transportation experts, the project team identified the gaps or challenges that could limit rural connected vehicle technology deployments. Recommendations include ways to address the identified challenges of deployment of connected vehicle technologies in rural areas. |
