| Abstract | In 2013, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) began updating its statewide travel demand model. In conjunction with this, WisDOT was also updating the conventional, trip-based freight component of the statewide model. With the recent advances in behavior-based freight modeling, WisDOT was interested in learning what benefits could be derived if future updates to the freight component of the model were behavior- based rather than trip-based. |
