| Abstract | The Arizona Sun Corridor megaregion encompasses portions of five counties that comprise the metropolitan areas served by the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) and the Pima Association of Governments (PAG). This megaregion is home to approximately 8 out of every 10 Arizonans and includes one of the busiest freight ports on the United States-Mexico border. State and local transportation planners in the region have researched and maintained state-of-the-practice truck transportation models for many years; however, these models have typically focused only on a few metropolitan planning areas. |
