| Abstract | This Technical Brief provides an overview of various State Department of Transportation (DOT) and other approaches for incorporating use of two-dimensional (2D) hydraulic models into their procedures, practices, and standards. This TechBrief will help State DOTs with compliance of the FHWA’s regulations found within the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Title 23, Highways (23 CFR). The FHWA requires compliance with 23 CFR and other regulations for a project to be eligible for Federal-aid or other FHWA participation or assistance [23 CFR 1.36]. |
