| Abstract | Every Day Counts is the Federal Highway Administration’s initiative to advance a culture of innovation in the transportation community in partnership with stakeholders in the public and private sectors. Through this collaborative, state-based effort, FHWA coordinates rapid deployment of proven, market-ready strategies and technologies to shorten the project delivery process, enhance roadway safety, reduce congestion and improve environmental outcomes. This report describes the innovations FHWA is promoting in the initiative’s third round, which focuses on creating efficiency through technology and collaboration. The report summarizes the feedback from the EDC-3 fall 2014 summits, the status of innovation deployment at the beginning of 2015, and the goals transportation stakeholders set to broaden innovation adoption by the end of 2016. The report is intended to be a resource for transportation stakeholders developing innovation deployment plans and to encourage ongoing innovation in managing highway project delivery to better serve the nation. |
