| Abstract | The purpose of this paper is to outline a methodology for the creation of a synthetic baseline population of individuals and households which can be used in activity-based travel models. While the populations developed here are necessary for microsimulations in these activity-based models, aggregated demographic characteristics of these populations can also be used in the traditional four step process to estimate travel demand. |
