Abstract Resilient modulus tests were conducted on five subgrade soils commonly found in the state of New Hampshire. Tests were conducted on samples prepared at optimum density and moisture content. To determine the effective resilient modulus of the various soils for design purposes, tests were conducted at room temperature and at freezing temperatures. The AASHTO TP 46 test protocol was used for testing room temperature and thawing soils. At freezing temperatures, the CRREL test protocol was used. The results from this test program are presented in this report. In addition, suggested effective resilient modulus for the five soils are presented.
