Abstract	The need to respond to combinations of in-vehicle telematic devices can greatly increase driver workload and distraction. Drivers responded to combinations of three telematic tasks presented simultaneously in a driving simulator. Results showed systematic performance decrements in driving and secondary tasks as the number of required telematic tasks increased. Characteristics of an in-vehicle workload manager that might control this decrement are discussed.
